Spam threat: Can we win this war

Spam has become ubiquitous, as far as the information super highway is concerned. Essentially, they are illegal unsolicited mails you find in your mail box. They can be provocative sometimes or even most times. Until strong anti-spam laws are passed and actually enforced, spam proliferation will continue because it is believed to reach a mass audience, if not so, spammers wouldn’t waste their time sending such mails.
Most people see spam as the plague of the e-mail and look out for ways to stop it from infecting their mail boxes. It has long been proven that spam mails more often habour viruses that could be debilitating to the entire system. So at every point in time, new measures to block unsolicted and potentially hazardous mails are reeled out over the internet. The Tide Online
