Have you ever been flooded with useless invitations on Facebook that people send out to everyone in their contact list? Or received another annoying mass forwarded email from a friend at work? I like to call this emerging epidemic, buddy spam. For those that have lived under a rock for the last 10 years, or have only discovered the internet recently, electronic spam is the indiscriminate and unsolicited sending of bulk messages.
Spamming is commonly used to refer to e-mail spam, however it occurs in blogs, wikis, internet forums and even on your mobile phone. These messages come from people who mass distribute these ‘ads’ but fortunately most get caught out by email spam filters. The Advent Of Buddy Spam » Oh! Mike!
